USA takes on desperate Paraguay with spot in the quarter finals at stake

Lincoln Financial field plays host to Copa America Centenario hopefuls USA and Paraguay with a place in the quarter finals on the line. USA will go into the game as the favorites with the competition being played on home soil, but Paraguay is a team that should not be underestimated. Paraguay sits tied with Brazil in World Cup Qualifying with 9 points, just one point behind the last spot taken by Colombia. USA will know not to underestimate the South Americans, and will be wary of the threat they pose, especially on the counter. This will likely be a game that comes down to who makes the least mistakes, as just one could be costly. 7 of 12 games have been decided by 1 goal or less, and 9 of 12 games have seen the winner score first (other 3 games were draws), the only comeback being the 2-2 draw between Peru and Ecuador.
