A Letter to Our Members - Code of Conduct

AO Family,

Like many of you, we on the AOPDX board have concerns about the political and social climate of the United States after Tuesday's election. We have been supportive of our friends, who come from many different backgrounds, and we are thinking of those friends as our country is stressed by division.

To make things that much more challenging, on Friday night, our US Men's National Team will be taking on one of our fiercest rivals.

We are writing this today to remind everyone of the American Outlaws Code of Conduct. You can read the whole code at https://www.theamericanoutlaws.com/code-of-conduct, but in short, as members of American Outlaws, we are bound by the principle of being "passionately positive", which includes becoming the world's most inclusive supporters group, free of discrimination, racism, sexism, and homophobia.

Both at the match in Columbus, and at our watch party in Portland, members of AO leadership will be wearing yellow badges. If you see any instances of violation of the AO Code of Conduct, please find someone wearing one of these yellow badges, or via one of the other methods listed at https://www.theamericanoutlaws.com/aowatch.

Together, we are one in support of our United States National Soccer Teams, and we are one in support of our friends, family, and those who support other teams, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or political affiliation.
